But, in the Sootyverse, what is he?
Up until recently, you never saw Sooty’s legs, so I just assumed he was meant to be a puppet. Matthew Corbett always hid his hand when Sooty was around. Surprised he wasn’t picked up by Yewtree on that, but still.
Now, I am confused. I just saw a Sooty video and his legs are on show.
Does this mean he is a magic bear or is he just a normal bear?

I remember seeing Sooty’s legs in an episode in the late 80’s/early 90’s. He was riding a bicycle and the shots were alternatively of him from the waist up and him from the waist down.
