Throwaway because my sister follows my main account

So about half the time when I (26F) climax, both during sex with my partner (27M) and during masturbation, I’ll reach climax, but somewhere about halfway through the orgasm it’ll suddenly feel REALLY good for a couple seconds. Like, it’s so good that it somehow better than the orgasm itself. It also happens both when it’s just clitoral stimulation and with penetration.

Regardless, I’ve tried EVERYTHING to make it last longer. I’ve tried upping the vibrator/going harder with my fingers, told my boyfriend to go harder, withdrawing stimulation, switching up the way I do the stimulation, but nothing I’ve ever tried has made it last longer than 3 seconds. Does anyone know what this is and how I can make it last longer?

  1. Not sure if this is the same thing, but I can feel when my brain releases that gush of oxytocin and dopamine, it feels like this shivery, tickly throbbing in the back of my head that lasts for just a couple of seconds and it’s just soooo good. I like to think it’s the other half of the orgasm that is purely hormonal without the physical muscle twitching. I get it during a clitoral orgasm, but other physical stimuli can also trigger the same feeling like g-spot or nipple stimulation when I’m really turned on.

I don’t know if there is a way to extend the sensation but depending on the method in which it gets triggered, some ways make it last a bit longer than others. From shortest to longest for me it’s clitoral orgasm, g-spot/vaginal orgasm, nipple orgasm, running fingers across my back during aftercade cuddles. It also lasts a bit longer if I’m being touched in multiple parts, so for example I might be riding my guy while he’s playing with my clit and nipples, then it lasts a bit longer.

  2. are you sure it’s not the start of the orgasm? for me it’s always when the orgasm begins that it is most intense and when it’s literally the climax. but like you, it doesn’t last very long because it ebbs away pretty quickly. but i usually am able to still stimulate it to somewhat make it last a bit longer?

but for the most part i don’t understand what you mean by it’s “better than the orgasm itself” lol i thought nothing else comes close to an orgasm in terms of physical sensations

  3. I’m not sure if the physical sensation of climax is the same for men and women, but for me when I achieve orgasm (i.e. pass the point of no return) it starts feeling really good but the sensation then quickly intensifies to a consistent peak that lasts maybe 3-5 seconds before fading away through a series of aftershocks which give little mini bursts of pleasure if I keep stimulating. Not sure if this helps.
