Can somebody explain this phenomena to me? At least in my own experience, women from my home country are 100% disinterested in dating me. I must have met or asked out certainly over 100 local women – so far not a single one has reciprocated. Certainly something must be wrong with me then, right?
Well, there was the one time I went to the US and had American girls pining over me. Then in Thailand, 1000 of matches with girls willing to date me and go out with me. The same thing in Colombia, Germany, etc, basically: any country outside my own.
I often hear American men say: Man, our women are so unfeminine, they hate us, blah blah. In my experience, the American girls I met were super feminine, nice, kind and fun to be around! But what they say about their girls is the same thing I can say about girls from my country.
What have your experiences been (guys) and (girls) would you say you prefer foreign men?
Do we all have to import our partners from another part of the world from now on? Lol

I had a number of F wanting to engage in conversation as they thought my middle class English accent was cute and was treated as a bit of a novelty in both USA and to a lesser degree Canada. They loved or were curious of my humour too.
It really is personal preference. For me as a M it’s got to be sense of humour, communication, eye contact and empathy.

As an Argentinian girl living in the US for almost 7 years I still find it very difficult to like american guys, for some reason they always end up giving me the ick

I prefer foreign men because I want to explore a different world from my own. Their culture, traditions, morals, etc. I want to learn.
I’m an American woman who didn’t do well on dating apps (you know that one study done on black women and dating apps? Yeah, I experienced that) I got waaaaaay more attention from men while traveling. Italy, Brazil, Germany, Croatia, Netherlands, Ireland, Argentina, Scotland, Jamaica, Nigeria, Mexico etc. Was treated like I was wanted. Eventually, I started dating a Scottish guy, and I’m very happy. Don’t think I could ever go back to the U S dating ring. Just makes me feel unwanted and not good enough. Thought it was me, but turns out it was just America🤷🏽♀️
I also love traveling and getting to experience other cultures so it’s all a plus
I think it depends on the person’s preference, but I’m sure many people find stuff that is different from the norm as exciting and new, so it probably helps. Cultures, accents, different style…it can all play a part.
It’s “the grass is always greener on the other side”. Things that seem unusual or uncommon often also seem exotic and cool and attractive as a result. I have no problem with American women, but I’d be lying if I said I don’t find most foreign accents to be much more attractive than the “normal” American English that I hear every day.
For me as a male I prefer foreign as well. It could be both genders looking outside the country. But their reasons are definitely different lol

In my case, yes. People in my country are quite traditional. Most don’t even read. I am not like that.
I moved to the Netherlands from the UK for uni and immediately started to notice much more attention from women, and plus more engagement with those I spoke with. I now have a girlfriend and she said that it’s was a sign that I was independent and had the confidence to move to another country alone. P.S, the British accent also helps 🤷♂️
It’s called genetic diversity. And the lizard brain craves it. We are wired to seek out unconventional mates. Genetically diverse offspring often have the best chance of surviving environmental changes while also avoiding the perils of inbreeding.

Having said that, the majority of American men are trash lol.
