So I (24f) have recently gotten into a relationship after a year of being single and we have been having sex. Well the first time we did anything intimate, it was just him using his fingers and whatnot. After that, I had painful cramps in my lower back for hours. I ended up falling asleep with the pain. Then when we had penetrative sex, I got cramps again but this time in the front lower abdomen. It was so bothersome that I just took some Advil for the pain.

I’ve been wondering why I have been having this pain. This didn’t happen before when I had sex. Is it possible that it’s because it’s been a while?

I was also thinking if it could be that my now boyfriend is very giving during sex. TMI but he made sure I finished multiple times and tbh that’s something that the person I was with a while ago never did. Is it possible that the reason for these bad cramps are just because I actually get to finish during sex and I just never really felt that before?

This sounds so sad lol but don’t ever settle for someone who doesn’t take care of your needs as well.

Not sure if this is something I should worry about. I’ll def ask my gyno but I won’t see her for a couple months so wanted to ask on here in the meantime.

  1. Multiple intense orgasms could induce some cramps in your post orgasmic phase.

  2. when this happened to me it was so embarrassing 😂😂- For me it was a dildo that caused me to have major cramps after that I triggered my menstrual. The best thing to do is take a hot shower/bath and afterwards get a heating pad or menstrual cramp jug and put it on the hurting area. You need to sleep it off or keep walking and distract myself from the pain. Worse case would be going to the ER to get something better than Advil

  3. sometimes u cramp after sex bc it’s a muscle and it could be working overtime. HOWEVER this same thing happened to me and then i found i was pregnant. it was implantation cramping
