I’m not sure if it is because I have gained some weight over the last year or so. But now, my groin area is always super sweaty a few hours after showers. The sweat is quit smelly too.

I do not like to smell bad, and will take showers in between to solve the problem. But now I’m not working from home any more and cannot be taking showers throughout the day.

I used to use talcom powder when I was younger but stopped because it would go everywhere and my partner didn’t like the mess.

Are there any other options you guys would recommend? And how do you guys make sure to keep sweat in the groin area under control?

  1. If it’s smelly it could be jock itch (might also have a “slippery” feeling). Try a jock it’s cream following the directions to dry thoroughly before applying. If it is just sweat there’s a cream called Fresh Balls that works wonders.

  2. I highly suggest boxer briefs with a pouch. Like duluth bullpen or hanes like it. As for the smell somethings not right.

  3. The new excessive sweating could be a warning sign of diabetes. Coupled with the recent weight gain you may want to do a screening with your physician. When you do your labs ensure that they test your A1C and not just your fasting blood glucose.

  4. My experience is that if I smell not long after showering then I didn’t properly wash myself. Using a washcloth properly was helpful.

Simple way to figure out if the weight gain is the issue. I know weight loss isn’t easy, but it is simple. You have an issue and recognized a possible (or likely) cause so why not address that?
