Finally, yesterday, I [32M] went alone to spend quality time. I saw a movie at 4PM at Stratford Westfield then I had dinner. I had to wait for 20 min outside restaurant.

It was good experience, I’m that I show courage but I’m feeling little sad that no one spoke to me.

  1. Well done!

Hey when people go out, they’re going out for a particular purpose. They’re not thinking “hey I’ll talk to a stranger today.” So talking to strangers is often going to fall flat – that’s fine, it’s not your fault, move on and don’t let that deter you.

  2. May I recommend Toastmasters as a place to improve communication skills and give a reason to socialize? Try out a few clubs and let them know you’re painfully shy as a starting point. It might be very helpful! Or…take this idea w/a grain of salt and disregard. 😊
