A friend I occasionally talk to invited me to a party that I think is this week around 2 months ago. I haven’t heard anything since. Would it be weird to message them just to confirm that it’s still happening and at what time? I’m not particularly close with them or anyone else going but I have known them a long time. I just feel kind of strange going on a 2 month old invite if that makes sense? It would feel different if I was invited today and it was in a week’s time.

Could have just been a courtesy invite, but even so if you’re interested in going and catching up/meeting some folks you should (just don’t expect your friend to stay glued by your side if it’s been a while)
