How do you cope with face sweating from sunscreen?

  1. – apply sunscreen
    – wait for it to set in
    – seal with loose powder
    – let it settle
    – walk out of the house
    – sweat
    – wipe off everything
    – cry

This is the only way I know how to cope with it, is there another? ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Do you mean that the sunscreen makes you sweat? If you’re using a physical sunscreen, switching to a chemical sunscreen might help?

  3. Neutrogena sensitive skin moisturiser with spf works better than most for me.

  4. Same way I cope with face sweating without sunscreen; I wipe/blot it away.

  5. I work outdoors, I don’t even waste my time with it because it’s impossible to stop working every hour and reapply while I’m drenched in sweat and it doesn’t make any difference anyway

  6. My skin is as dry as the sahara desert so I actually like a little face sweat. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Gives me a healthy glow.

  7. It’s always a disaster. I just don’t bother unless I’m actually at the beach or pool. I wear a lot of SPF foundation and a hat if I particularly need protection.

  8. Try a gel based sunscreen instead, they tend to absorb more quickly than cream products

  9. I have been using cerave face moisturizer with spf 30 in the AM when I know I am going to be outside a lot.

Sun screen takes 30 minutes to start working so itโ€™s important to put it on before you go out. If youโ€™re already sweating and hot, not only does it not work as well, but more will sweat off into your eyes.

I also wear baseball hats quite a bit when I am outside to help protect my face.

  10. I make my own with coconut oil, raspberry seed oil and a little zinc oxide. All natural and it works.

  11. Give up.
I’d rather be greasy and have good & protected skin than burned skin but a ‘fresh’ look.

If the sunscreen is coming out, guess what, we’re all sweating. And if Mike with drenched pits and back gives me any shit about my face not being stone-dry, he can go f*ck himself.

  12. I add a sunscreen to my foundation: Golden Rose(Amazon) sunscreen + CoverGirl Skin Milk foundation and then setting spray. Stays on even during my workouts or working the garden. I also use the Cover Girl waterproof mascara in the Orange tube. It’s tge only one I found that comes in brown which looks more “natural”

  13. don’t put it on my forehead and wear a hat and/or bandana to cover the area. most of the time sweat drips down into my eyes from scalp/forehead.

now if i’m upsidedown (e.g. in the workshop) then this doesn’t work! haven’t got a solution for that.

I’m only talking about sweat and/or sunscreen dripping in the eyes (it stings). If my moustache or sideburn area is sweating I just ignore it, or blot it with a sleeve or cloth. So I’m talking about at home, blue collar work, and outdoor recreation.
