Have you guys hearded about Orkut (the social media)?

2. I’ve heard of it, but never used it.

3. Things that happen outside America are not common knowledge in america

4. Heard of it, possibly even tried it out once. I don’t specifically remember because if I ever used it, I only spent about 5 minutes on it.

5. Yeah, I even used it before it was taken over by the Brazilians. It was like all of a sudden, everything was in Portuguese.

10. Yes, it was a Google owned product, started by a guy in the company named Orkut. Very popular in Brazil, not so much anywhere else.

11. Never heard of it, sounds like a Russian social media company.

    Kind of reminds of an insect repellent company with a similar name(Orkin)?.

14. Yes. A cute girl I met on a summer program was Brazilian and asked us to talk to her on there. Apparently Facebook wasn’t in Brazil at that point. (I am definitely dating myself)

17. When I visited Brazil about 15 years ago I met a guy who asked if I was on Orkut. That was the first and last time I ever heard of it.

18. I had an account and maybe used it 4 times?

19. Yeah, I did… I remember that for some reason it was only big in Brazil. Didn’t know about India
