Whenever you watch anime, what are the things that irritates you the most about how they handle female characters and what changes do you like to happen?

3. I just don’t watch it because the characters are either too cute or too sexualised. Or both.
   The complete artstyle usually is really off-putting to me, so I avoid it.

   Sure, there’s good stuff in between, with more relatable, less sexualised characters. But that’s rare.

4. I stop watching it but pretty simple : high speech voice, dumb character, tons of double meanings for absolutely no reasons, a chibi body on a 10000years old woman, grown ass woman having double meanings words with clearly a child.

   The change : be realistic cause a whole lot of girls act like this afterwards and it’s CRINGE and lowkey creepy.

5. I mostly just follow the shows I already like, which are generally wholesome and for the most part treat female characters like normal humans (ex: Spy family, Ya Boy Kongming, The Ice Guy and his cool female colleague).

   Sometimes I’ll find good shows (Komi can’t communicate, Tomo chan is a girl) that have a few weird moments and unnecessary sexualization sprinkled in, and I just try to ignore those moments and hope that doesn’t become a recurring thing.

   But there are also other shows whose female characters hardly have a personality other than their breast size and how they and the other characters feel about it, and I just won’t continue watching trash like that.

6. Mostly their voices. Those are not normal, human voices, even for women whose voices are somewhat high pitched. Also their ‘naivety’ or purity pushed to an extreme, like they live in the middle ages and have never heard of sex in their entire life. Weird, objectifying sexualization. Lack of personalities, passions, and hobbies. Those are just generalizations of course.

7. Female character who has a body of an adult and a face of a child and in most cases sounds like a child too… That always creeps me out.

   Can we make adult characters look and sound mature?

8. It bothers me when every female character is either the love interest or the mother figure to some central male character.

9. It bothers me when they are completely useless appart from bringing a feminine touch to the story (like Sakura in Naruto as opposed to Temari who is much more interesting)
