Has your SO ever asked something of you that, in your view, is unfair or over the line and how did you handle it? For example, cut ties with an close friend simply because the two of them don’t click, or relegated you to using ONLY the guest bath on another floor, etc.

  1. I lived alone for five years before getting married. We did not live together before our wedding. Once living together, she requested that I not go to sleep before she did. She has an anxiety issue, and gets to sleep much quicker if she knows that I’m next to her, still awake. I guess it makes her feel protected.

    So, basically, she sets my bedtime. We’ve been married for over 15 years. I don’t mind it anymore. But, the first few years of our marriage, I really resented her getting pissed at me for going to sleep when I was tired, rather than waiting for her to go to sleep first.
