Is it too late to sow tomato seeds?
The temperature dropped like 15 degrees in two days. I hate it 😔 why couldn’t it stay warm?
Holytriplem was asking me how I can grow summer vegetables here. The answer is… With difficulty. The main problem is that the growing reason is so short. In Turkey, for example, green beans are already in season. Here, I only just could plant them, and I won’t harvest anything probably till August. While at our place you can sow two rounds of tomatoes and harvest till November or so (this is just the Mediterranean, not everywhere of course), here you have to start like in February and harvest is August/September mostly. Unless you have a glass house.
I took a stroll through the market, and I really wanted strawberries, but even the cheapest ones are 8,5 Euros per kilo. I hope it gets better…
