I’ll bet the passport office website will have the answer to this question, but, yes, I think you need a passport for this.
As far as I know, yes.
More money can often get you a passport sooner though.
Yes, you most likely will. You should contact the airline but you will most likely need a passport as you are taking an international flight back.
If you’re landing in Canada, you need a passport.
You actually need a passport to get off the boat in Ontario. Only if you’re younger than 16 can you use a birth certificate.
Unless it’s a small craft…then I believe it’s just an ID (like if you’re going to Canada on someone’s sailboat or powerboat) But if you’re flying back, passport required.
>I only got a few weeks notice and the Passport department is like 7-10 weeks behind
If you can afford it, it is possible to expedite your passport. Then if you still don’t have it within 2 weeks of travel, you can emergency expedite it. I had to do that this year and it showed up 4 days later.
Yes
Are you a Canadian citizen, a US citizen, or both?
US only: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Canada.html#:~:text=Entry%20into%20Canada%3A%20Canadian%20law,need%20proof%20of%20U.S.%20citizenship.
I was always under the impression that every time you cross an international border, you need a passport.
I forget the performers name from awhile back, but he did a stunt walking a tight rope across Niagra from the NY U.S.A side into Canada. Border patrol or whoever was waiting for him with his wife I believe for his passport
You need a passport to fly.
Yeah, after 2009 they made it so you have to have a passport to enter Canada
Yes
It’s another country, so yeah.
Yes, you now need a passport for entry to/return from Canada. There may be options for expediting it (for an extra fee). If it’s a work thing, see if they’ll cover the extra fees.
You will need a passport. You can pay to have yours expedited. You can go to an actual passport office in person and they can get you a passport the same day.
Only problem is there aren’t too many physical passport offices so you may not be near to one.
Yes, you’re landing in Ontario, Canada, so you need a passport. The only other option is to show a NEXUS card ([Source](https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/td-dv-eng.html#s3:~:text=When%20you%20enter,or%20marine%20modes)).
You’re still going to need it, HOWEVER, I’ve heard from many friends who have gone through this process recently that if you tell them at the Passport office that you need it rushed, that actually works. IMMV
Get expedited, or if it’s within 2 weeks you’ll have to physically go to the passport office and it’s hella expensive.
Yes. You will need a passport if you’re going to enter Canada even if just to move from a boat to a plane.
Not that this will necessarily help you right now, but there are “Enhanced” driver licenses that you can get that are supposed to allow you to travel to Canada and Mexico without needing a passport.
Passport or passport card
You need a full passport for all international air travel. If you’re crossing into Canada by land or sea, a real ID or passport card is sufficient (but not a standard driver’s license, etc.).
Yes, you need a passport to enter Canada as an American.
You might need to go to a passport office and get it same day. Probably won’t be cheap, but they can do that for people traveling on a short notice without a passport.
You will definitely need a passport.
