Recently I met few people who are my father’s friend. They asked me a few question and I answered but it was more like an interview. My mind was completely blank and I couldn’t have a decent conversation with them. How can I talk to people who are 20-30 years older than me? What can be some good generic topics to talk about?

  1. This is foolproof when it comes to older people: ask them what life advice they’d give to a younger person like yourself, or what it was like to be a kid when they were young. Ask them about their favorite memories from long ago. They will LOVE you for asking. Act interested in the answers. Then exit when it starts getting too long.
