Dated this guy when I went abroad ✈️ is he still interested or nah?

Last month, I went on a business trip and saw this guy at the fair where I was at. He approached me because he knew my nationality, and we immediately became friends after. To find out, he initiated being friends with me as he once stayed in my country for 3 years.

He added me on facebook and followed me on instagram after giving their company my call card. The problem is, I still have photos of my ex on all my social media accounts as I was still at my moving on stage.

We dated the next night, he picked me up at my location, and just like 2 crazy high school kids, we had a great time. He made me pretend it was my birthday in the restaurant so we could get free desserts, we also sang together in his car, it felt magical as if I was only like a 17 year old kid. He mentioned several times how he found it romantic, he even told me thrice how he likes me and my personality. I never really responded to any of those as I do not want to give him hopes or I was also scared it might lead to something else (on that first date).

He randomly asked me how many exes I had before and I was surprised with the question. Next morning, we were still talking and during lunch time I felt like he already lost interest. I did not reply to him for the whole day after that as I felt like he’s no longer showing interest. Until the day I was about to leave the country, I told him i’m getting him some drinks to thank him, and then, we started talking again. When I came back to my country, he flooded me and asked me if I have arrived safely, and when I responded and asked him to take care driving, he did not respond again.

I really like him, but I can’t figure out where to stand. He is currently having problems with his passport and he couldn’t leave his country anytime soon. Last time we talked, he told me he wants to visit my country so bad, i just did not have the urge to reply anymore as I’m scared he would not reply back to me again if I say something again.

he is not messaging me and I don’t think he ever will again. I just would like to know if he’s interested.
