What’s your most nostalgic moment?

1. My grandma’s house where I grew up in. Every corner of it is nostalgic to me… I’m currently recreating her home on Sims 4 by memory. The house now is being lived by my aunt and cousins and they changed a lot of things, neglected mostly 😔

2. One of them is sneaking out of bed at night as a tween to look for get my DS lite I worked for and bought by doing summer jobs and play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon on it, and trying not to get caught.

   My brother and I were allowed to play 1 hour of video games per day at maximum, after which she’d confiscate our DS so we’d try to be sneaky when looking for when she hide them when we wanted to play the game outside of that allowance pfff.

3. My mom taking my sister and I out of school early to take us to Disneyland. Disneyland has changed so much and I miss how it was in the 90’s when I was growing up. 🙁
   Edit. My mom died when I was 11 and my sister was 13 and so now my sister and I visit Disneyland on my moms birthday every year.

4. Visiting my grandparent’s old home in my family’s country of origin and smelling the fragrance of rosewood that compromised most of the furniture. I keep searching for that proper Indonesian (not Brazilian) rosewood in a perfume but I’ve never found it, at least not as a leading note. It’s a faintly floral, fantastically nostalgic scent for me. It makes me think of happy summers eating homemade dumplings and playing with the neighbour’s kittens, riding the metro all around the city and haggling for trinkets from underground shops.

6. Traveling overseas with my then-boyfriend.
   I was just in a really good place at that time in my life and I enjoying every moment of it.

7. Playing Silent Hill games at 3 am with my bestie while eating Dunkin Donuts. Such a great memory.

8. Chewing on a 90s ice cream gum while being on vacation in Germany when I was 4, I was watching fish in a fish tank and then the chewing gum fell out of my mouth in the fish tank and all the fish swim after it and one of them ate it, I hope that fish was ok..
