Asking the bartenders name

Hi I’m a 26M. I work at a local popular club/bar in my downtown.

I’m kinda stupid as to when I’m being flirted or hit on unless they outright ask for my number or something sexual etc.

But recently I’ve had girls introduce themselves and ask for my name.

I’ve been told a bartender asking for their name is usually the bartender flirting but wanted to know if it is it the usually the same thing that way.
