I have tried over and over to like Indian cuisine. There’s something about the spices, I don’t know. I just do not like it. I have traveled all over the world and consider myself an adventurous eater, but I just do not like Indian food.
Yes. Many times.
Chicken tikka and butter chicken are great.
I generally avoid any and all Indian food, so no.
Yes but I’m not much of a fan of it
Yes. Dal is delicious. GF makes it once in a while when she wants a vegetarian dish.
But let’s honest…there are few Indian dishes that I don’t like.
Of course… I even get microwave packs of lentil dishes for quick lunches either with some chicken, or fried tofu.
Yes, lots of different ones. The first one I remember eating was something my grandfather would make for me and my sisters when we were kids in the 1980s, before there were any Indian restaurants or Indian immigrants where we lived. He’d read that lentils were good for brain development, so obviously his grandchildren had to eat them. He found a recipe for an Indian lentil dish and would make that; I don’t remember exactly what it was called. It was good.
Yes, [I love beans](https://youtu.be/7ZWQMvHNOnI)! One time I got a dish made with lentils and kidney beans from an Indian restaurant, and it was easily one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
Yes. We eat a lot of lentils in my house.
I eat a lot of dal, and a lot of chana masala. I don’t like most meat dishes, honestly.
Yes, dal is offered at all the Indian restaurants near me. I usually like to get a lamb dish, but I’ll get a veg dish like dal on occasion.
Dal is like on every Indian lunch buffet in my area. Before covid when the Indian buffets were open, anyways.
Indian food is so tasty you’ll not miss meats at all. I don’t think I’ve ever had Indian food that wasn’t delicious.
Yes, I’ve had dal and channa masala many times, especially the latter. They are delicious, just like most Indian dishes I have had.
I’ve tried a lot of Indian food cause I fell in love with it a couple years ago, I liked lentils but they weren’t my favorite thing to get. Malai Kofta is usually my go to
Indian food is relatively common. Most small suburbs and towns have an Indian restaurant. Though their quality really varies. I love Indian food myself.
Also, I’m in Sri Lanka right now. Similar but different.
Dallas is so common in California they serve it in the work cafeteria.
Yes, many times. Indian cuisine is incredibly easy to come by here in the Bay Area. There are even specific restaurants that do cuisine from specific subcultures of India here.
Does kitchdi count? I make it almost once a week.
My family is from South Asia so yes
Sure have. Not as good as in India though
Out of all my friends family and co-workers, nobody has a taste for Indian food. They are missing out!
Had one for lunch!
To this day, chicken tikka masala is one of the best British dishes I’ve ever had.
