Idk it feels like mania or something. Everytime I‘m fun and enthuasiastic I go back home and start cringing about how I behaved and about what I said. I‘d consider myself introverted but sometimes I just get overly enthusiastic/extroverted. I wish I could be calmer when I feel good around people

  1. I totally get it, I get the same thing every time.
I think the most important thing is to accept that it’s ok to be really happy about a social experience especially if you’re not used to these, and to not engage in negative self talk because this can damage your confidence.
Also, if you can’t help cringing, try to recall good moments too, as well as cringy moments from other people. Usually, it you don’t remember them that well, which is the same for your cringy moments.

  2. Your mind is a story creating machine. It’s just what it does, whether it’s fact or fiction it just likes to create stories. Stories that create lots of emotion are ones the mind keeps repeating. Likely, your behavior isn’t something people are thinking about after the fact. Be responsive in the moment to social cues, but let the stories your mind makes up, after the fact, just drift on by.
