I (27 M) am curious how everyone is meeting their SO. All my time is spent working, getting stuff done for work, or taking care of my house since im a solo home owner. Ive tried the dating apps and i know they arent tje best and honestly they dont work ever and by dont work i mean in 3 weeks ive gotten 0 likes/matches. Im just curious so i can change it up and try meeting someone.
Thanks in advance

  1. If you don’t work the weekend find a place that people like to gather. Bars (obviously), hobbies clubs, museums

  2. Let family, friends, or co workers know you’re looking. Don’t necessarily need to come right out and say it. Drop some hints. Someone knows somebody who’s looking. Back in the day (pre OLD) being set up through friends was a common way people met.

  3. I met my new boyfriend on Facebook Dating! I liked being able to see the mutual friends we had and looked at a couple profiles on FB to see more.

But I can recommend growing your social circle by being more social; Meet Ups, professional mixers, gym, group classes of any kind that meets regularly, starting a new hobby to meet new people, speed dating events, general local events in your area. Go into anything without expectations; this way you won’t be discouraged and disappointed. Just attend to make friends. You never know who you’ll meet and who can introduce you to new people they know.

  4. Hang around target and hobby lobby on a Saturday. You’ll be good in no time.
