I had an interesting talk with my group of friends (all early 20s M and F) about how men tend to want too much too quickly, scaring potential partners away.

Wanted to ask what an “ideal” timeline would look like for women.

What started this whole talk was my experience talking to a girl whom I met while doing a uni project. I basically told her I liked her about a month after chatting daily. She rejected me.

My friends thought that that is way too early to know if I like them, I should have given it more time, etc. Would like advice moving forward.

  1. Your friends sound dumb. You did the right thing, imagine if you spent months longer getting to know her and she rejected you. If you are interested you need to communicate that early. If anything you waited too long.
