I’ve known my boyfriend now for over a year, and we’ve always had a pretty great healthy sex life.

The past few months though, he’s been unable to cum during sex for some reason.

He’s perplexed also about it, otherwise we have a great relationship and super healthy/open communication sexually. I’ve managed to finish him off orally but otherwise it’s like he can’t cum during sex. Any advice? Any chance it has to do with me?

  1. It’s likely nothing to do with you, so don’t beat yourself up. A lot of things can contribute to this. Does he stay hard?

    1. Excessive Masturbation – This is usually associated with a porn addiction, but not always. If he masturbates frequently (several times a day) it can cause him to be less sensitive and could require more pressure to finish. This could be why PIV doesn’t get him off but oral does.
    2. Stress – If he’s stressed, that can cause it too. It could be stress from work, family, friends, or even sexual anxiety. Check on his mental health. That plays a much bigger part in sex life than most people realize.
    3. Medication – If he’s on any medication, this could cause an issue that desensitizes him.

There are a handful of other things that it could be, these are just three common scenarios.
