I completely don’t care about political opinions, but I just wanna know if Donald Trump ever used his surname as a slogan (as in trump card) or played on it in some way? Google reveals no information.

  1. He doesn’t have to do so explicitly. We all had the association already.

Though I think that has been somewhat damaged, now.

  2. Not that I know of.

And if he did, we would know. He sticks his name in gaudy, giant letters on everything.

  3. He does use his surname as a brand everywhere but I don’t think he’s big into wordplay. Maybe due to the complexity, idk.

  4. It’s not his family’s name, originally. His grandfather changed it, swapping a German-sounding “Drumpf” for the more Anglo-sounding “Trump.”

I presume he was aware of the word’s meaning in English, and liked the imagery of it. So whether 45 ever explicitly leaned into it, that’s likely why it’s his name in the first place.

  5. I mean I’m sure he hands out business cards. But no I have no recollection that he’s said something along the lines of “I’m going to play my Trump card”

  6. there was a “Trump Card” for his casino, I think it was a credit card, may have just been for gambling.

  7. He has (had?) those NFTs (or whatever that is)… those might be called Trump Cards.
