Why do people think i’m looking at them when I’m just looking at the board or in front of me??

It happens a lot. Some people think i’m looking at them when i’m just staring at the board and listening to the teacher. It’s pretty annoying cause I don’t want them to think I like them or that I’m weird. Why is that???????
