I love how guys think there’s some secret sentence they can mutter, like they’re Babe the Pig herding sheep.
You say, “hey, I’m really in the mood for some <insert food or beverage item here>. You want to get some <chosen food or beverage item here>?” Or find an excuse that you need a friend for. “An extra ticket” goes a long way. Also, if it’s college, believe me, we’re well-aware that all the boys are horn-balls.
Be your normal self. Set reasonable expectations; by reasonable I mean you obtain the expectations you can control and not what you want to happen.
Try to get some information on this girl. Find out her hobbies and interests. Then ask her for her “help” on something you know little about, and mention your really busy because you wanted to do X hangout (don’t invite her, just let it linger as a unspoken possiblity) activity that is also within her sphere of interests.
Make sure this hangout activity is full of mental stimulation and exciting for her. Research says dates find that answering the casual questions over a rope bridge was more engaging and wanted a second date versus sitting at a dinner table.
Best of wishes.
