Can’t make connections

I have attended a few activities for STEM loving young people in the last 2 years, but I can’t seem to make any lasting connections with anyone. I don’t seem to click with anyone and there is no mention of chatting after or meeting up. I ask questions and talk to people. It’s a little saddening to hear that during events people are talking but nobody is talking to me. Not that I’m much of a texter, but still.
