My pick would be Miracle

  1. FYI- I know a couple people that are characters in that movie (I’ve never seen it tho). One was Jim Craig. He seriously is one of the nicest guys ever.

  2. I’d make my own movie. It would be a 4 hour long epic of me screaming into a microphone.

All Americans would be united by their annoyance

  3. Watch the mini series on HBO Band of Brothers and the Pacific. Both are excellent WW2 series.

  4. Shrek

  5. Ken Burns: The Civil War.
Seriously it tells a long story about division in America, and then shows the futility of it all.

  6. Not a movie but I can’t think of anything that united the nation more than USA’s revenge match against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup.

  7. The Civil War by Ken Burns.

    Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

I think both of these should be seen by every American.

  8. Saving Private Ryan. It really embodies what our grandfathers went through for all of us.

  9. Idiocracy in hopes people realize this is not the direction our country should head in.

  10. The big short. It’s a fantastic movie but also highlights how corrupt corporations are, and all us common folk are just dollar signs to the rich and greedy.

  11. *The Princess Bride*

Or maybe they’ve already seen that. The internet’s one moment of unity was when it collectively rejected the notion of a remake.

  12. Miracle – The true story of the underdog 1980 US Olympic hockey team winning against the “stacked” team from the USSR.

  13. I clicked on this post specifically to recommend Miracle, only to see that was what you recommended. Absolutely the best choice.

  14. Don’t Look Up. It’s so accurate to the world’s situation for climate change, with everyone ignoring the problem, making it political, or prioritizing profits. If it keeps going as is I see our end being similar to the movie’s, except a little less nice and a little more war, famine, and brutal than shown in the movie

  15. There’s a bunch of speechs by Thomas Sowell floating around YouTube. I really think if you linked them together they would make an amazing movie.

  16. Won’t bring everyone together, but I wish everyone would have watched the January 6th hearings

  17. Top Gun. Watching the first five minutes with *Highway to the Danger Zone* blaring should make any American pumped up!

  18. Office Space, one of the few movies I think most people can at least understand the morals of.
