Not sure how to approach

Im 35 (m) have this attractive neighbor who lives above me in a 2 level apartment complex. She’s younger mid 20’s and has only lived here for a couple of months. I rarely ever see her, I believe she works from home and doesn’t really go out much. I was sitting outside one day and she walked by me and we exchanged smiles. A few days later I was sitting outside again and decided to strike up a conversation with her, she seemed nice and really engaged in the conversation. Since i’ve spoken to her a couple of times and seems like she’s into me but i’m not really sure how to or if I should even take it further. I want to ask her if she wants to hangout one night but if I mistook her kindness for her liking me i’m going to have to do the walk of shame everytime I see her. Any advice?
