Hey
I’m going to be travelling around the UK (all over the place!) this summer and I want to take photographs of some abandoned buildings or boarded up property
Ideally not the same ones a billion other people have been to.

I don’t particularly want access to inside of the buildings. So it is fine if they are just houses boarded up.

Please feel free to post here or DM me if you’d prefer not advertise empty building publicly

  1. Actual boarded-up, urban sort of properties? Can’t help you.

If you’re in Bedfordshire. Have a look at the abandoned St Mary’s Church in Clophill. Very spooky, and linked to some recent Satanic activity. Some genius had the idea of using old gravestones for a footpath there too 😬

But, also in Bedfordshire, we have the absolutely wonderful [Houghton House near Ampthill](https://imgur.com/8xnOBvO.jpg). An absolute hidden gem of an English Heritage property. Open and free to the public. So eerie, but incredibly beautiful. Abandoned since the mid-late 1700s.

  2. I’m in Northern Ireland, most of the population live in rural areas and you can’t throw a stick without hitting an abandoned something or other. Schools, houses, farm buildings.

Within a 10/15 minute walk of my house there’s an abandoned primary school, watermill and farmhouse.

Seriously, just get in your car and drive around any of the rural areas and you’ll find loads.

  3. Check out 28 days later, you can search by town/ city etc, it’s an urbex exploration site that people upload their explores to. You’ll find loads especially if you don’t want to look inside as a lot of them do get closed up fairly quickly
