Does the sentence in bold work semantically and grammatically?

A: I am going to deliver a speech on the importance of raising workers’ wages to 300 factory owners tomorrow. What should I do?

B: Well people love statistics. You have to let them know what they can get from raising the wages. In my opinion, **if you mention some reliable numbers and show some charts to your audience, you can definitely deliver a good speech tomorrow**

  1. It makes sense, but it sounds a little awkward. I’m not an English teacher, so I’ll gladly yield to a higher authority on the matter, but I would word it like this; “In my opinion, you can deliver a good speech tomorrow if you mention reliable numbers, and show your audience a few charts.”
