Delaware!
Don’t let my flair fool you but for all the hate Ohio gets it truly is an awesome place.
Lake Erie up north, awesome theme parks, multiple major sports teams and collegiate teams. Cool state parks SE Ohio is an outdoorsman paradise and boasts huuuuuge whitetail
Ohio river that cuts through the south of the state is always fun to play on, football and rock and roll hall of fame the Air Force museum it’s all pretty dope
I’m not telling, it is a secret.
I’ve never been, but I bet Montana is cool for a trip
Most of the Jersey Shore is actually really nice, and it isn’t filled with the types of people from that stupid show.
How do I know which States are underrated?
I think it’s Vermont. It’s a wonderful state.
I’m going with the other coasts.
The gulf coast and the coast of the Great Lakes.
Yes, I’m aware they both encompass multiple states.
I’ve been to 44 states and enjoyed all of them for one reason or another. Except maybe Kansas. Good luck with Kansas, go to /r/kansas and have the convince you to go there on vacation.
I’m gonna throw South Dakota in the ring.
We have the black hill and bad lands national park. We have plenty of outdoorsy stuff.
And we are without question the best state for pheasant hunting, if you’re into that.
Utah, so many beautiful national parks and so much beautiful scenery.
Missouri Ozarks. I am a homer.
West Virginia imo, i love the mountains and the wildlife there.
Rhode Island…
Good beaches in Westerly and Watch Hill.
The quaint Newport with International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Head into the city of Providence. Great restaurants and the famous Federal Hill. Maybe take in a P Bruins game.
Super easy to fly into via PVD.
New Mexico. Central NM is breathtaking
Not a state but upstate NY is really underrated because it gets overshadowed by NYC. The Adirondacks and Catskills are extremely beautiful and if they were in a state without a major city hogging the spotlight (like the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee) I know they would be extremely popular tourist spots
Do not come to Arizona.
This state is Americas anus.
Covered in sand and 900 degrees out.
I’d go with Pennsylvania, it has way more to offer than people realize. Virginia has a lot more too, but I don’t feel like it’s an underrated state to vacation to.
Maine. Portland is great and there are lots of fun outdoorsy things to do.
DELAWARE. Please don’t come here. You’ll ruin it for me. Go to New Jersey.
Michigan, and more specifically the upper peninsula
Don’t go to Minnesota, especially North of the cities unless you really like giant mosquitoes.
Wisconsin
Colorado. 300+ days of sunshine. Except for the past month lol
Wisconsin is beautiful. Underrated for even other American visitors.
Florida and Massachusetts.
Florida because except Miami, Key West and Orlando, there is so much to see. Tigertail beach for example.
Naples is super pretty, tarpon springs is cool. So many springs in central Florida. St Augustine is nice, Ybor city has the original cuban sandwich (with ham and salami, it is better), Tampa has a nice riverwalk. Everglades is cool but dry Tortugas is awesome.
Massachusetts because nobody visits the western, mountainous part and small trails there are so fulfilling. Some breathtaking views of Boston or other city skylines if you plan your day accordingly.
Rhode Island. The south coast beaches are beautiful.
