I was on top, he came, and as it was happening, he farted. Neither one of us acknowledged it and I did not want to even laugh or bring it up in case it embarrassed him and ruined the moment.
Afterwards, we were lying in bed and he seemed ready deep in thought and didn’t say much. We had to leave shortly after as we both had to go to work.
We’re really open and comfortable with each other but this has never happened before and his silence began to make me overthink. Did he think I did it and just turned him off? Did he know he was actually the one who did it? Like I said, we were caught up in the moment, I was climaxing at the tail end of his. Now I’m self conscious, if I actually did. But I definitely would’ve felt and knew that I did.
Has anyone experienced this and how long did the awkwardness last?

Farts happen. Embarrassing yes, but it’s just a normal bodily function. I suspect he’s really embarrassed about it.
I sometimes wonder if it’s my tummy that’s rumbling or the other person’s. But I 100% feel my farts in all their variety. I can’t imagine him not feeling it, but people are different, I haven’t been everyone.
Clearly the right answer here is for you to fart next time. Extra points if he’s going down on you.
I think he’s embarrassed, but he does seem like the sort to hold things in until he just can’t anymore, so maybe you’ll have to break the ice.
