Excuse my ignorance – I know nothing about boilers and can’t seem to find an answer to this online.
I had a new boiler fitted and the plumber was supposed to do a clean and flush. He installed the new boiler and asked us to run it for 20 minutes every day for a week and he was going to come back and finish.
He came back a week later and said he still wasn’t happy with the water. So left it again for another week.
Now he’s gone MIA. He’s ignoring my texts asking if he’s going to come back.
Should I be more urgently requesting he comes back to finish? I’m not even sure what “finishing” entails. Heating system works fine – I think the last part was just a clean and flush. But it feels like he hasn’t finished it.

If he’s flushing it with a chemical, see if you can find which one. Generally the instructions on the bottle will tell you how long it can stay in for, the ones I used should be drained out after a week
It does depend on what he used, on old systems a milder concoction can be left in for weeks

it will need draining, flushing out and then inhibitor added though
