Like sometimes I thought the person already finished talking ( technically they completed their sentence not like when they are talking halfway) so I say something just to find out they still haven’t finish talking, sometimes I overcompensate by leaving too much silence to make sure they are finished with their words, how to strike an equilibrium?

  1. If I accidentally interrupt someone I always stop what I was about to say and let them finish.

  2. I sympathize, OP. I unintentionally interrupt and try really hard not to. I do make sure to apologize when it happens. But tbh I often feel like the issue is a 2 way street – people interrupt me first and I’m just trying to finish my point. I end up being quiet in conversations even if have something to add. It seems like a common issue for many people.
