2. I wonder what you hope to gain with this question; the question is uniquely worded.

   I was weak and wasn’t honest. It is tough to let someone down; it was my mistake. You can sprinkle all the candy justifications and rationalizations you want, someone gets hurt and it’s because you’re weak and dishonest. You cannot be trusted, you have to start over earning trust. There is nothing you can say, nothing you can buy that changes what you did. Men are different from women but it is not an excuse.

3. She had been doing things that I found disrespectful to our relationship, and I wanted her to hurt like I was hoping she would learn and see that I had options.

   Definitely not the right thing to do but that was my thought process at the time
