Has anyone had luck finding a relationship on dating apps?

1. Met my current boyfriend on Hinge, this is by far the healthiest & best relationship ive ever been in.
   One of my close friends also met her boyfriend on hinge & they even live together now.

2. I have been online dating for 5 years, but for me its exhausting. Less to none matches and if there is one, i get no messages back when i send one.
   Only had 1 or 2 good long conversations, but ended up nowhere.

   I dont like the online dating, it feels more like applying for a job/work. The profiles are made as everyone being the most perfect people. Photo’s are photoshop to the max. And there are sooooo many fake profiles…

   It is nothing more then a money-making-industrie. And i think for 95% of the real people its not working, only a small percent it works.

5. Currently working on this but am struggling. I always feel like I take too long to set up the first date and move things forward and am afraid of spooking partners away.

6. Found my current girl on Hinge. Once I reached a place where I knew I wanted something serious, Hinge was honestly pretty good for me and things progressed fairly quick. I do think that guys who have options that want something serious have it the easiest though. Women have to swim through the pool of undesirable guys and other men have to deal with being undesirable.

7. Met my gf on Match. She messaged me first and it is seriously the best relationship I’ve ever had 😊. As the common saying goes around here. I had tried for like… 3 months and then just stopped checking and focused on myself, message was out of the blue when I wasn’t even looking on apps anymore.

8. I had two really great first dates through Hinge, but the follow-up dates did not go well .. I don’t think it was anything that I did, they just both kinda made a decision, Yeah, Not Gonna Happen With This One.

   I had good success with OK Cupid .. last time I was on was four years ago, and I prefer a web interface to fiddling with a phone all the time (Hinge).

   I might try again now that warmer weather’s here again and outdoor dates are possible. Dating during a pandemic is really hard.

My sister has been dating a guy that we all really like for much longer than when she dated people she met through her friends and such, vice versa my moms been trying apps for about a year or two and still hasn’t found anyone. It seems to always come down to the person individually, my mom has better results with people outside of dating apps where my sister has had her best results from dating apps. It’s an odd scenario as is much of the rest of the dating world 🤷‍♂️

14. I met my current boyfriend on okcupid, my friend met his wife on tinder, my friend met her gf on okcupid, my coworker met her bf on match and two of my gfs met their husbands on plenty of fish. All of this was prior to Rona though.
