A friend of mine is giving me plant seeds. Should I offer to pay him money or give him something in return? On one hand I think it’s polite, on the other they are under $5 and giving change seems cheap.

  2. Offering (and being ready to pay) is a good faith gesture. If they decline, give them some of what you grow as commented previously, and or perhaps get them a gift of equal value in the future. And when the seeds grow, text them a photo and thank them too!

  3. I don’t know how old you are, but you could always buy them a drink next time you go out, or a coffee, or popcorn at the movies (although that might be more than half the seeds, it’s a nice thing to do.)
