Preface: My husband is not a man-child. He’s a man. This would not work with a man-child.
I got tired of a dysfunctional pattern in one part of our marriage, that was creating frequent conflict, and I decided I’d rather divorce than continue the pattern. We had some very painful, hard conversations about it. He realized he needed to change that pattern, and he started working immediately to change it. There have been some setbacks, but overall there has been enormous progress, and we are better than ever. I’m very grateful.
I used to be married to a man-child, and there’s no way he would’ve changed something. Not sure he would’ve even understood what was wrong.
