I’ve booked a couples massage this weekend for my wife and me at a local place (legit salon, has a website and a proper shopfront with signage).
I’ve never been for a massage that wasn’t “functional”, I.e. to fix a problem with neck, back, shoulders. What’s the etiquette? What can I expect? What do I need to do/wear/say to avoid embarrassing myself or my wife?

Just… enjoy it? You’re the customer. They’ll generally be ok with whatever you do, so long as you’re not asking for a happy ending.
If you want to be courteous, you should both shower beforehand.
