A while ago I told my friend I fancied him me and asked him out but he turned me down and said he wasn’t ready to date. We’ve stayed friends and it’s all been fine.
Fast forward some months and we’re chatting and he tells me he had a sex dream about me the night before.
Under what circumstances would you tell someone this? Is there any way this is platonic?

Sometimes sex dreams *happen*. Him explaining what happened could be just banter or he’s subconsciously making a move.
Are you still interested in being more than friends with him?
If so, ask him about it. If he says no, back off and you go back to status quo.
It’s possibly a move. It’s possibly that he doesn’t want to date but wants something sexual.
If I’m having one and that’s about a friend who fancies me and I have them on hold then i wouldn’t be sharing it with them. Unless we are used to talking about sexual stuff about each other.
Thanks guys. We never talk about this sort of thing and we never talk about our feelings for each other or anything after I told him so it was really out of the blue. I am still interested in him but trying not to jump to conclusions
