Ignore them
Block. You cannot reason with a person you’re trying to cut off. He will lure you into a game of ‘justify your position’. Just block.
The way I’ll cut off a friendship with a female friend. Either slowly distance myself or ignore them or just communicate and have a friendship breakup.
