The big 4-0 came this year and although I’ve always been in pretty good shape (I Run, Lift, play Hockey) I have a major urge to take my fitness to the highest level this year and have been thinking about an online coach to help me. Primarily I’m looking for a weekly check in, nutrition oversight and just a general plan to follow for the next 12-14 weeks.
I am clear on my fitness goals and also lucky enough to have a small gym setup at home and wanted to hear if anyone has tried the online version in the past?

I use Kelly Starett’s app, The Ready State.
Mobilization, maintenance,
and mechanics have become more of a priority for me as I age. You can do daily maintenance or target a specific issue.
Like having an on demand physical therapist
I lift 3-4 times a week on my own using a ppl strategy in conjunction with rucking 10 miles a week.
When I was on Facebook (back a few years now) I joined groups that were doing the same workouts as me. We would do daily check-ins for accountability & generally be there for each other about questions of workouts or nutrition. We would even do monthly challenges just for fun)
The workouts I was doing was beachbody. They do online workouts & give you free coach. They give nutrition tips etc. Yes you have to pay that’s why I recommend joining Facebook (there could be a sub reddit too??)
I tried the Future Fitness app for about 6-9 months, what I will say is your experience is ENTIRELY based on the coach you get.
