I went on a Bumble date with a girl last week. I was not into her romantically but conversation was okay. I stressed that I had just gotten out of a relationship and wasn’t really looking for anything serious. She agreed and we continued chatting on the app. Later that week, she asked if I would like to have coffee sometime and I agreed. This morning I see she also liked me on Tinder. This got me thinking that i’m just leading her on and that she’s more into me than I am her. I sent her a message and just said I wasn’t ready and felt I was giving her the wrong idea. Did I do the right thing?

  1. I mean yea you did? You could’ve lead her on for a lay if that’s what you’re regretting but seems you done fine

  2. Yes you did.
Having open communication and making your intentions clearly known and evident right from the beginning is all you can do.

  3. Yes. You were honest. You were direct at the first meeting on what you weren’t looking for.

You did the right thing especially since you were not interested in her romantically, plus you didn’t ghost her.
