Yeah, a straight guy enthusiastically singing Madonna – Into the Groove while driving a car, alone, is just not a picture of coolness. So I’ve heard. Theoretically.

  1. Cringe is dead, love the little things that make you happy, especially if it’s art.

  2. None.

I like what I like. If you think I should be embarrassed for listening to backstreet boys and cattle decapitation in the same playlist, then that’s a you problem.

  3. It’s not a song I’m embarrassed about liking, but it sure surprised me that I like it. Wrecking Ball- Miley Cyrus.

No, it’s not because of the video. I legitimately just like the song. And never like stuff like that.

  4. Wannabe by Spice Girls. The catchy lyrics, the girl power vibe, and the nostalgic ’90s feel just make me want to dance like nobody’s watching

  5. I don’t feel shame about liking any particular song, but there are some songs that i know if im open about liking it, itll invite certain responses i dont want. Eg if i tell my sister i like a couple of taylor swift songs she’ll start teasing me or she’ll start singing loudly and i want neither lol

  6. I openly, and before an audience, discussed with a techno lover girl, at a rave, why lady Gaga is one of the most important singer/songwriter of our age. I would happily have the same discussion about Taylor Swift. I refuse to be embarrassed for screaming Madonna from the top of my lungs. It’s not my job to help further the collective insecurities of several millennia of emotionally repressed men.

  7. Yeah, but it’s even cooler to not give a fuck and have fun. Fuck I wish I felt more pop music like it was meant to be felt – good.

  8. Anyone who thinks straight men singing madonna isn’t cool doesn’t understand coolness

  9. As a musician, I get a pass on a lot of things. Lady Gaga? Most innovative artist of her generation. Bee Gees? Sure but that bass line is fire. Secret by Madonna? Man, I just love those chord changes, very intuitive. Ed Sheeran? Say what you want but the guy can write an ear worm.

  10. Katy Perry – Teenage Dream

30 year old, weight lifting, gun shooting, whiskey drinking male who normally listens to heavy metal lol

  11. Bananarama’s “Venus”

Madison Avenue’s “Don’t call me baby”

    Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”

Dead or Alive’s “You spin me right round”

    And more…

  12. Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is so fucking catchy and upbeat that I can’t help but sing and dance in my car when it shows up on my Spotify playlist. Bonus points when I can embarrass my daughters.

  13. As a 50 year old man…Bad Guy by Billie Eilish…not so much because I’m a guy as much a cause I’m 50

  14. As a Deadhead, my friends made fun of my other music. I love the GoGos, Indigo Girls, Culture Club, Kiss, and Tiffany.

  15. Karma Chameleon by club culture, shit is pretty good but I can’t admit I listen to it in front of other people for some reason lol

  16. The whole album “Let Go” by Avril Lavigne.

I grew up as a kid with my mom playing that in the car on long road trips, so I guess that taste rubbed off on me, and now, as an early 20s adult dude, when I’m on road trips with my mom, I suggest we can listen to that album again.

All the songs are great, especially “Sk8er Boi”, which is my favorite from that CD.

  17. The nice thing about growing up is you absolutely stop caring about other folks opinions of music that makes you look less manly, or uncool.

…and “*Pocket Full of Sunshine*” by Natasha Bedingfield’s got some kick to it.

Oh, and also, if you driving down the road, and you see a grown-ass black man in his car and he’s belting out Frozen’s “*Let it Go*” in Mandarin Chinese… ::points to self:: Yo.

  18. Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” or Mariah Carey “Fantasy” or Britney Spears “Hit me baby One More Time”

Grew up with Sisters those were the songs I secretly did not mind when they would play them in the car lol

  19. Literally none.

I’m a 26 year old, bearded, 6’3″ man. I sing Cascada’s “Every Time we Touch” with my old roommate everytine we go to karaoke.

  20. Not so much embarrassment, but I’m a big Lana Del Rey fan. Straight af, but damn that lady is just such a vibe. I fw it

  21. I’m a straight white dude, and I’ll belt out Dancing Queen by Abba Anny day

  22. I like taylor swift’s songs especially Enchanted even though this song is sad I feel a excited while listening to it lol. I also like high pitched songs like Miley Cyrus’ song.
