Hi,

I’m in the middle of searching for 1 bed flats/studios and was wondering – can I submit an application for multiple properties at once? A lot of the ones i’ve seen and been interested in are from the same estate agents, but I’m not sure if they would allow me to apply for more than one at a time (There’s currently 3 different properties I would be more than happy to rent, but I need to secure a location before August. My recent application was rejected, although I wasn’t given a reason as to why).

it’s my first time renting outside of student accommodation (although I have had a guarantor and can happily provide another), and I have full time work exceeding £20k+ lined up for mid July (more than enough for all the properties im viewing) Would this affect my application at all? How can I improve my chances?

Thank you!

  1. You should be able to apply for multiple properties at the same time. I’ve done that before at least, and when you are accepted elsewhere simply inform the agents.

Competition is crazy at the moment, and the market seems skewed towards LL. Good luck with your search!

  2. Just be aware that if you pay multiple holding deposits you won’t get them back if you withdraw and don’t end up signing a contract if offered.
