I like her, I’m not 100% sure if it’s reciprocated so should I keep trying?

So I meet this girl in one of my GE classes for college, we didn’t start to talk until the second half of class. Once we started to talk it was fun, we had class like everyday and we would always sit next to each other in the back. We laughed and joked around and even studied together and did a project. In person it was always great talking to her, however texting her is a different story. I got her number and her insta, thru text she always left me on delivered for hours and sometimes even a whole day. I wasn’t really bothered at first bc I just told myself that she is probably busy. But since college ended we still talk some, like once a day or longer. She told me that she isn’t feeling like herself and it shows bc she would always zone out and not pay attention. But the problem is I really like her and I want her to be happy and I want to take her out on a date but haven’t yet. Some times we really vibe but others she doesn’t respond for a while. I’m not sure if she likes me back and I don’t think now is the best time to ask her out. I need your help deciding if I should wait and help her get thru this and then how do I do that, or if I should just ask her out, or if I’m not seeing that she is telling me no?? If you need any more information then pls ask, anything helps!
