I (31F) usually know within the first few dates that I want to focus my attention on getting to know this one specific person (rather than seeking out others) when I start dating someone. Although I have a tendency to be an anxious dater.
The guy I’ve been on 4 dates with seems to be actively using the dating app we met on still. We’re not exclusive so I get it, just wondering if that’s an indication that they’re not really that interested even if they say/do things to you that indicate they see you as long term potential.

32F, I always knew from how the first date went. But it always take a couple extra more to communicate so I can be sure of my feelings and also be sure that the guy is on the same page as well. Those couple more used to put me on a bit of a roller coaster just because I know what I want… At the same time, I’ve learned to take it easy and relax because I always got me 🙃
It usually takes me at least a month or two, seeing them on a regular basis to know. It varies greatly from person to person. To many, “exclusive” comes with the bf/gf label, and not before.
When you know, you know. Always listen to your gut.
It’s taken me 7 months of dating to realise he’s the one I want for sure. Just hoping he feels the same way when he gets back from his extended vacation.
