Lately I’ve been feeling like people have been treating me differently. I’m always ignored or not acknowledged both irl or on social media especially Instagram. Nobody ever likes or comments on my posts while others get over 100+ likes. I’m a nice guy I try hard to be nice but sometimes I feel like I don’t get the same in return.

  1. I’m off Instagram now, the only likes I got was on selfies no one gave af about my thoughts or even my sunset Alan Watts reels lol. I think it’s just the platform

  2. You can’t be sure other people are even seeing your posts. Maybe the algorithm doesn’t like you for some reason. Shadowbanning also exists, then nobody can see your posts. I think some platforms even fake users to interact with you, so that you never notice that you are actually shadowbanned.

  3. You should delete your social media… it’s getting to your head…. If social has become in your own mind the standard to which you judge and base your reality….. you have a distorted perception of true reality. The true reality is that, your value and worth isn’t dependent on likes and comments on social media…. Social media is creating a mental illness in you called addiction. Look it up! It’s real. Best thing for you to do is to get rid of it until you can regain a healthy focus on its purpose and more importantly YOUR purpose and YOUR value outside of whether or not others click a “like” button!

  4. Forget about likes on social media. We are all overwhelmed. I stopped liking stuff on Instagram. I don’t even log in anymore, and no one sends me chats through it.

Set up a chat group with some of your real friends. Listen to podcasts or Ted Talks or NPR for things to talk about. Learn more about the topics that interest you.

Ask your friends what they are listening to. Music, books, shows, podcasts, etc.
