If you jerk off a lot, you get accustomed to a certain type of stimulation that is very different from wet friction on the head. That kind of friction (even with tons of lube) can often be uncomfortable (it gives you a weird feeling in your legs) for the same reason that women find direct clit stimulation “too intense” when they’re not warmed up enough.
Go a month without masturbating or stimulating your penis at all (just please your partner in the meantime). Then, the first time back, edge yourself and/or have your partner edge you a bunch until you’re really close and sensitive. After a long time away, when you get close you’ll find the head gets super tight and swollen and sensitive, and at that point a blowjob will stop feeling like it’s “too intense”/weird and will instead be intensely pleasurable.
For me it’s a pretty narrow window, if I slide back away from the edge it quickly becomes weird feeling again. Having her focus her tongue on the frenulum instead of stimulating the top of the head is more pleasurable when I’m in that state. But once you’ve edged into the window then direct head stimulation suddenly feels amazing, the only issue is that at that point I’ll go past the point of no return within a second or two, and cum a few seconds after that.
