I think ok I’m in two minds about this:
If you take a lot to the point you’re not paying them attention it could seem rude, yes.
HOWEVER, having selfies is very useful for so many reasons – for one online dating & online friendship apps but other things too.
I have few selfies and I suck at taking them and it’s an issue.
But if you’re hanging out with someone and taking lots of selfies esp if only of you not both of you yes that could get annoying for them.
Maybe just take less rather than none?
Could also offer to take some of them and some together.
But make sure you’re main focus is talking with them
